About Us

John Adair started out in the industrial engineering field. He has been a fitter & turner, tool maker, pneumatics and hydraulics engineer. Wanting to branch out into his own business, a family friend suggested the untouched niche of engineering engraving. And so Adair Engravers was born - 39 years ago. The company has grown to 5 full time staff and 2 part timers. Every family member has worked here at some stage! There are also several loyal staff members who have been with us over 6 years – like an extended family. We’ve been heavily into sport over the years. John has played for rep teams in his younger days and has more recently coached Hockey, Cricket, and Rugby, especially his childrens’ and more recently grandchildrens teams. Bridget, John’s daughter, runs the business these days with the same time-tested values and service …

If you send us a product, we’ll send it back to you branded. With our high-tech engraving machines, die cut tools, and digital printing technology, we can do just about anything.
We do branding or engraving for one-off products, such as special occasion giftware. We take jobs that don’t fit the standard mould in our stride.

 

Specialist high-tech machinery

Our technology and processes include laser and diamond engraving, plus digital domed resin label branding (FlexiBrand). We can do fine detail logos and intricate shapes with our laser machinery - from our 120 watt Epilog Laser to our Taylor and Hobson industrial engraver. We have a range of customised tools adapted to produce specialist items.
